Care Merseyside celebrates Christmas at Annual Lunch with Pensioners across Merseyside

The annual Care Merseyside Christmas lunch took place at the Devonshire hotel on 3rd, 4th and 5th of December.

It’s the 10th year running that Dr Faisal Maassarani GP has funded the event and the day offers a festive opening to the Christmas holiday season for our older residents across the Merseyside region.

In partnership with Merseyside Police and the Devonshire Hotel a massive operation of hosting 300 people per day for three days begins to be planned from September. Helen Hannigan ( Liverpool City Council) and John Rooney ( Merseyside Police) are at the forefront of arranging access for the many beneficiaries of the event and are two invaluable cogs in the wheel.

Bill Harper (owner of the Devonshire Hotel) ensures the room is opulent, festive and atmospheric and all are wowed when they first arrive.

Attendee Peter Lockhart said ‘It was excellent and real good fun. There was a little bit for everyone. The venue was really good and we met loads of new friends – can’t wait for next year’.

Everyone thoroughly loved the entertainment!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all the team at Care Merseyside.
