Low Carb Life 8 Week Course

Starts Thurs 28th February 6-7pm

Join our Low Carb Life group upstairs at Dr Maassarani & Partners, Tower Hill Primary Care Centre, Ebony Way, L33 1XT

Open to all in the local community and their families, this is a FREE support group that helps Type 2 diabetics and anyone looking to explore the benefits of a low carb diet for health and well-being.

RSVP your attendance by contacting Shane King on shane@caremerseyside.org.uk  or speak to any of our reception team at Dr Maassarani & Partners.

Join Andy Bishop and the patients of Dr Maassarani & Partners who have reversed their Type 2 diabetes or reduced their medication by adopting a low carb diet. Andy is the Liverpool ambassador for Public Health Collaboration (PHC) who help champion low carb diets and fund research into diabetes and diet. Andy has reversed his own diabetes and is an inspiration to our patients. His 8 week course will support you to transition to a low carb lifestyle.

The 8 week course is FREE to patients of Dr Maassarani & Partners, Roseheath Surgery, Cornerways Medical Centre and Bluebell Lane Medical Practice. Anyone from the local community is also able to attend but will need to seek advice from their own GP ahead of the course.

The course runs every week for 8 weeks. It is free to attend but commitment to all 8 sessions is required. We ask anyone attending to go for blood tests ahead of the sessions so you can clearly monitor any health outcomes at the end of the 8 week period.

During the 8 week course you will learn about diabetes and how a low carb diet has helped many local people to manage their condition.

You will gain knowledge and insight into low carb foods, nutrition, the impact of exercise (just talking about it at this stage – not doing) and you’ll get the chance to sample a range of delicious low carb foods.

You will be supported throughout the 8 weeks leaving you with the knowledge and inspiration to choose to continue to adopt this way of life, should you wish.

It is important to note that Andy Bishop and our team from Care Merseyside are not medically trained so are not able to answer specific medical questions relating to your condition. We are conducting the course to show patients how other local people have adopted a diet that is gaining popularity and traction for those looking to manage their Type 2 diabetes. You should contact your GP before embarking on the course, if you have not already been referred by your doctor.

If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Shane King shane@caremerseyside.org.uk
